Skinsuits are designed for a high level of flexibitlity;
The name applies to any suit designated to be worn next to the skin. There is no color implicit in the name.
There are no attached gloves or hoods. It may have attached feet.
There is a reinforced crotch slit from the vaginal mound to the anus which allows for toileting and insertion of plugs.
They are rated at 78% coverage. (Assuming 2 hour bath break, It only earns 22 x .78 = 17.16z per 24hr day. If gloves are added, it would be 22 x .88 = 19.36. To meet the 24z daily quota this must be supplemented, somehow.)
The logging day begins and ends at 5pm. (This allows Ordeals to be done during Prime Time and just before the deadline.
Dear Marla,
I have been thinking about the concept of 'skinsuit'. Actually, I think it might have been LatexLadyII who coined the term.
In the broader sense, the 'skinsuit' simply refers to whichever garment I am wearing closest to my skin. Get it? Skin - suit.
But, mostly, I'll refer to my 'Skinsuit' as the primary, specific, sacrificial garments which are always worn next to the skin from day to day (and most nights.) It's made to my skin measures from 0.40mm latex. It fits fully and completely, not tightly. That means I can wear it comfortably, all day (and all night).
It is a simple, but noble garment consisting a skin-fit, latex catsuit that I wear all the time and under any other garments. It bears the brunt of the oils from my skin on the inside and much of the wear and tear on the outside. (Exposing latex to oils will slowly cause the elastomers to relax. These are the tiny, molecular-size 'springs' in the latex which make it elastic. Stretchy. The latex gradually becomes soft, even 'gooey'.)
Here's a tip. Wash latex garments with a grease-cutting, liquid dish soap such as Dawn. This will help prolong their useable lives.
Most of the time during the day, I just wear a Skinsuit and my housekeeper's apron.
Sometimes, if I am in the mood, I might wear a second, usually older garment over the first. It creates a stronger sense of 'presence'. As I go about my daily business, rubber-feel sneaks into my world more often and more intensely than when wearing only one suit. There is slightly less sensual adaptation. I am generally more conscious of rubber throughout my day. That puts me a bit closer to 'becoming rubber', so to speak.
The second garment also helps protects my skinsuit from damage from housekeeping chores. If I know I'll be doing some task, such as, say. moving firewood, I'll wear a 2nd or even 3rd 'sacrificial' suit to protect my more pristine skinsuit.
Since the design is always the same, James suggested that if I were to buy, say, a half-dozen identical suits at a time, I would find the per-suit cost significantly reduced. This is because much of the cost in producing any rubber garment is in the design and creation of the pattern - or template - which are used to cut out pieces of latex to create a garment which fits me perfectly. Once the pattern has been created, it can be used to make all six suits because they are identical.
When I asked my garment maker for a quote on six suits, I found myself at the edge of the realm of 'wholesale'. My order required a big chunk of cash up front, but James was not wrong about the per-suit cost. This was a significant savings.
And now my closet will be full of latex suits!
And, just think... my second order will be even cheaper because the pattern had already been created and paid for. If you do this, be sure your garment maker is willing to archive your pattern from one order to the next. This also presumes the design and/or your body measures do not change.
